Like last year, Pokémon Go’s Halloween event will have two parts. Highlights of the event include Lavender Town music and Halloween-themed special research.

Part I of the event begins at 10:00 a.m. on October 20, 2022 and will continue until October 27, 2022, at 10:00 a.m. local time.

time bound research
In addition to special research available to all instructors, paid tickets for timed research will also be available during the program. Tickets cost either $1 or $5, depending on timed research. Trainers can purchase one or both of these tickets. Each ticket has unique time bound research assignments.
Keep in mind that timed research has an expiration date. Time-bound research tasks must be completed and their rewards claimed by 10:00 a.m. local time no later than Tuesday, November 1, 2022.
Trainers will be able to buy and gift tickets to any of their Pokémon Go friends with whom they have achieved a friendship level of Great Friends or higher. Please note that purchases—including purchases made for other trainers—are non-refundable (subject to applicable law and exceptions set out in the Terms of Service). Tickets cannot be purchased with PokéCoins.

You can help Professor Willow and Ree research a Halloween-themed special. Along the way, you’ll learn more about the Yamask and the Galarian Yamask. Plus, for the first time in Pokémon GO, you’ll be able to face Shiny Galerian Yamask.
Special research will be available to claim from 10:00 a.m. local time from Thursday, October 20, 2022 until 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 1, 2022.

The following Pokémon will hatch from a 7km egg. Plus, for the first time in Pokemon Go, you’ll be able to face Shiny Noibat – if you’re lucky! The noibat that emerges from these eggs will also be more likely to be shiny than the noibat found in the wild.

During the event, the spooky pose found in the in-game shop will be updated to include movement – it will move forward. This update will be applicable to all future and previous purchases of Spooky Pose.
New Halloween-themed avatar items will also be available in the in-game shop.
