The Uttar Pradesh Police was shocked after stopping an auto-rickshaw and found 27 passengers in a three-wheeler, including the driver. A video of a police officer counting the number of passengers has gone viral on social media. This heart-touching incident is of Bindki Kotwali area of Fatehpur in Central Uttar Pradesh.
The auto-rickshaw was reportedly found speeding with a velocity gun and was chased by the police. The police found it difficult to stop the rickshaw, and once they asked the passenger to exit, they were shocked to see 27 passengers exiting the auto-rickshaw.
Commercial vehicles are commonly seen overloaded with cargo in them, but it is rare to see passengers overloaded to such an extent in an auto-rickshaw. An auto-rickshaw has a capacity to carry four passengers including the driver, whereas this auto-rickshaw had 27 people, which was 6 times the number of passengers on it. The Uttar Pradesh Police has since confiscated the auto-rickshaw.
