He tweeted, ‘If no drugs are found on Aryan Khan, isn’t it appalling that an innocent child is forced to spend day and night in a lockup? Putting in jail without any reason is mentally harmful. There is a need for major reforms in the judicial system…Such systems produce criminals by punishing the innocent.’
Aryan, who was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau on October 2, was initially in the custody of the NCB and was later remanded to 14-day judicial custody. He is currently lodged in Arthur Road Jail. His bail plea was heard by the special court last week. The court had reserved its order till October 20.
Subsequently, Shah Rukh’s Raees director Rahul Dholakia also took to his micro-blogging site to express his disappointment.
