Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced that power will be cut in parts of Chennai today to carry out maintenance work in the city.
Power will remain suspended in some parts of Chennai from 9 am to 4 pm and power supply is expected to be restored before 4 pm after the work is completed.
According to a press release given by the company, the following neighborhoods in Chennai will be affected:
Porur Chembarambakkam Area: Vartharajapuram, Bangalore Trunk Road, part of Chembarambakkam, part of Thirumazhisai, Najathathapet.
Siruseri: Sipcot, Pudupakkam, Arihant Apartment, Vaniyamachwadi, JJ Nagar, Muthama Nagar, Anand Engineering College and all nearby areas.
Perambur: Ambedkar Nagar, Maduraisamy Madam Main Street, Vasudevan Street, Alayamman Koil St, State Bank College, Chinnaiya New Colony 1st to 4th Street and Cross Street, Vadivelu Street, Govindasamy Street and all surrounding areas.
