Noting that the first annual Pranab Mukherjee Memorial Lecture was being organized by the Pranab Mukherjee Legacy Foundation, Modi wished the initiative success.

In her remarks delivered virtually at the first annual Pranab Mukherjee Memorial Lecture, Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina recalled that as a young parliamentarian, Mukherjee took a bold initiative in support of Bangladesh and in June 1971 for the country’s recognition.
