Mr Kishor started an online poll on his official Twitter handle, asking users to vote yes or no for their question in Hindi.

“This is the sixth experiment (experiment) by Nitish Kumar in the last 10 years towards government formation. Do you think the people of Bihar will benefit this time?”, Mr Kishor asked.

The founders of a political consultancy group, IPAC, who abandoned their previous incarnation to run the “Jan Suraj” campaign, which could grow into a Bihar-centric political party, has come into existence with the new formation. Mr. Kumar left and joined BJP grand alliance Which includes RJD, Congress and Left.

Mr Kishor, who played a key role in the past grand alliance Which came into existence in 2015 but fell apart within a few years, raising doubts over the sustainability of the vast, seven-party alliance.

He is of the view that the grand alliance could survive at most till the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, but it was likely to be resolved before the assembly elections to be held a year later.

Avoiding the BJP’s “return of the jungle raj” chorus, nonetheless, Mr. Kishor advised caution in assessing the impact of the new alliance on national politics.
