Days after criticizing the caste survey launched by the Grand Alliance government in Bihar, Kishor supported the reservation policy.

Political strategist-turned-activist Prashant Kishor on Monday supported caste-based reservation, saying it should continue till the weaker and deprived sections of the society are brought at par with others in terms of development.

Kishor’s support for the reservation policy came days after he slammed the caste survey launched by the Grand Alliance government in Bihar as a means to “fool” and “divide” the society for votes. He had said that only the Center has legal sanction for the census.

“Reservation policy is valid. This must continue as we have to take along those sections of the society who have been left behind on social and economic indicators.

He also hit out at Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, saying his credibility is at the lowest point in his political career. Kishore said that the government headed by him has lost the trust of the people.

Kumar had left people to their fate during elections coronavirus Mocking the victims of the outbreak and a recent poisoning tragedy, saying that “those who drink will die”.
