Prayagraj: First deployment of gazetted police officers Prayagraj The ranking from District and Deputy Superintendent of Police to Additional Director General of Police (ADG) has adopted at least one local police station for its better maintenance and management.
ADG (Prayagraj Zone) Prem Prakash has adopted Cantt police station, while Inspector General of Police (Prayagraj Range) Rakesh Singh has adopted Civil Lines police station.
In an exclusive chat, the IG told TOI, “Every gazetted police officer has adopted at least one police station where officers, apart from routine administrative tasks, have access to sanitation facilities, availability of potable water, separate men and women, etc. Will also monitor the condition of the woman. Toilets, visitors gallery for proper seating arrangement for complainants, improved barrack maintenance, uninterrupted power supply, tree plantation in and around the police station premises, painting work, scrap disposal, maintenance of malkhana and other works.
He said, “The gazetted officer concerned will utilize the resources and may also seek public cooperation in maintaining the police station. The officers have also been asked to videograph the ‘then’ and ‘now’ status of the police stations.
The videos will be presented before the office of IG (Prayagraj Zone) within 30 days.
The IG further added: “Police stations properly maintained and maintained are a step towards maintaining discipline. Also, police personnel will get a better working environment. It will also help in maintaining law and order, directly or indirectly, while strengthening policing and bridging the police-public gap. ,
“Senior police officers doing surprise checks of police stations had registered poor maintenance and upkeep of police stations. However, now all gazetted officers will be held responsible for all necessary arrangements to improve the condition of police stations,” said the IG.
“Unclaimed vehicles or junk lying inside or outside police stations will be shifted to two police junkyards located at Jhansi and Naini. When necessary, related items will be brought or recovered. ,
As per the allocation of police stations for better upkeep and maintenance, SP (Trans-Ganga) Abhishek Kumar was assigned Handia police station while SP (Trans-Yamuna) Saurabh Dixit was given Karchana police station. Similarly, Additional SP Chirag Jain has been given Ghurpur police station, SP (city) Dinesh Kumar Singh has been given Khuldabad police station. Also, SP (High Court Security) was assigned to Phaphamau Police Station, SP (Protocol) would handle the management at Naini Police Station.
