Mumbai: Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulations on saturday International Olympic CommitteeDecision to give hosting rights to India 2023 IOC Sessions, adding that this would lead to positive results for the World Games.
“It is heartening to know that India has been selected to host the 2023 International Olympic Committee session. I am sure it will be a memorable IOC session and will lead to a positive outcome for the World Games.” Twitter handle.

India will host the session for the first time since 1983. The session will be hosted at the state-of-the-art, all-new Jio World Convention Centre.
Mumbai received a historic 99% votes in favor of its bid from delegates participating in the process, with 75 members supporting its candidacy at the session held in Beijing.
The IOC session is the annual meeting of the members of the IOC, consisting of 101 voting members and 45 honorary members.
It discusses and decides on key activities of the global Olympic movement, including the adoption or amendment of the Olympic Charter, the election of IOC members and office bearers, and the election of the host city of the Olympics.
The Indian representative on the committee, Nita Ambani, described it as “an important development for the country’s Olympic aspirations”.
Besides Ambani, Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President Narinder Batra, Sports Minister Anurag Thakur and India’s first individual Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra were part of the Indian delegation.
