Prince Harry, Meghan Will Leave UK Cottage But King Charles May Let Her Stay In…

Days after being asked to vacate their royal household in the UK, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly been invited to attend the historic coronation of King Charles III. While it is not clear whether the two will attend the grand event in May, questions have already been raised about where they will be staying.

According to a recent report, the duo may be offered a Buckingham Palace suite when they move to the UK. A report in the Mirror suggested the palace apartment would be Prince Andrew’s old suite.

Local media reports indicate that Frogmore Cottage has now been offered to Prince Andrew – the estranged brother of King Charles III. The residence was gifted to the couple by Harry’s late grandmother – Queen Elizabeth II – and was renovated by the two. The intention was to have a permanent base in the UK when they relocated to America after stepping back as the frontline royals.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex refurbished it in 2018 at a cost of GBP 2.4 million – initially covered by British taxpayers’ money and later paid back. He also spent his daughter Lilibet’s first birthday at the estate during her visit to Britain for the platinum jubilee celebrations of the late Queen in June 2022.

According to reports, the couple were asked to vacate the cottage in January – shortly after the publication of ‘Spare’. The move was reportedly approved by King Charles.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan’s attendance at the upcoming coronation remains unclear.

Harry’s spokesperson said: “I can confirm that the Duke has received recent email correspondence from Her Majesty’s Office regarding the coronation. An immediate decision on whether the Duke and Duchess will attend will not be disclosed by us.” “
