Tripura’s new Chief Minister Manik Saha on Sunday said his government would give priority to completing the unfinished work of his predecessor Biplab Kumar Deb. Stating that he has good relations with Deb, Saha claimed that he learned that he would be the next chief minister at 4 pm on Saturday. “I thank Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President JP Nadda and Deb for handing over the command to me. It is a huge responsibility and I will discharge my duties with utmost care,” Saha said in his first media interaction after becoming the chief minister.
Describing his journey in the saffron party, he said, “I joined BJP in 2016 and started working as ‘Prestha Pramukh’ and in charge of booth management committee and state level membership drive. did. Responding to a question about the unrest at the BJP Legislature Party meeting at the Chief Minister’s official residence on Sunday, Saha said, “The BJP is like a family and such things happen in every family. It will be sorted out.” Asked if the Left Front had boycotted its swearing-in ceremony during the day, Saha said, “I had personally invited opposition leader Manik Sarkar to the program because we were good. share personal relationships. He said the party has decided to boycott it and he cannot go against it. Asked about his cabinet, Saha said it would be announced soon, without giving any details.
