Project report of Medical College is being prepared in Karaikal

The National Buildings Construction Corporation (NBCC), which has been entrusted with the task of preparing a detailed project report (DPR) for the construction of a government medical college in Karaikal, made a presentation about the project to Chief Minister N Rangasamy in the Assembly on Tuesday. . NBCC was in the process of preparing the report. The corporation will submit the DPR to the central government and regional administration in a few months. The government is planning to approach the Center for funds to set up the medical college.

Mr. Rangasamy in his budget speech had announced the decision to set up a government medical college in the enclave. The government plans to build a 600-bed hospital at a cost of Rs 800 crore. Around 150 students may also be admitted for medical courses. Public Works Minister K. Lakshminarayanan and Chief Secretary Rajiv Verma were also present.
