ProRes: iPhone 13 Pro ProRes will be available with future updates – Times of India

In addition to Cinematic Mode which is now part of the iPhone’s camera system, another feature that Apple Stressed during the event and talked about a lot is new is ProRes Video Codec Support for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
However, it looks like this feature will not be available for iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max users at launch. 9to5mac has reported that it will arrive at a later date via an update. There is no official date available when Apple will roll out the ProRes update for the smartphone, but we can expect it to happen sometime later this year.
Talking about ProRes, the codec is very popular among professionals and is used by the film industries. In simple words, like ProRAW is for photos, ProRes is for video. The codec records video with minimal compression resulting in high-resolution, detailed video footage.
This high quality footage then allows video editors the creative freedom to script what they want as it contains a lot more detail and data than regular video codecs like MP4, MKV, etc.
The iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max will be able to shoot and edit video just like ProRes once the feature is on. Dolby Vision Cooperation.
Apple has also put some other iOS 15 features on hold that will not be available to users on September 20. it includes shareplay, ID card, App privacy report, etc.
