Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday extended his best wishes for Karnataka’s natural abundance and Gandha Gudi, a docudrama featuring late Kannada actor Puneeth Rajkumar, saying it is a tribute to Mother Nature.

The trailer of the docudrama was launched on YouTube on 9 October. The film is set to release on 28 October.

Modi said Appu, as Puneet Rajkumar was fondly called, lives in the hearts of millions across the world. The Prime Minister said that he was talented, full of energy and endowed with unparalleled talent.

He said, “Gandha Gudi is a tribute to the natural beauty and environment conservation of Karnataka Mother Nature. My best wishes for this endeavour.”

He was replying to a tweet by the late actor’s wife, who said that her husband always loves to interact with Modi and shares the snapshot of the project with her.

“Today is an emotional day for us as we release the trailer of Gandha Gudi, a project close to Appu’s heart,” he added.

CM sent best wishes

Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai also joined Shri Modi in wishing the team of Gandha Gudi. The CM wrote on Twitter, “Gandha Gudi is close to Appu’s heart. Appu is close to all of us. Gandha Gudi is the treasure of Karnataka, Appu is the treasure of Gandha Gudi.

Mr Bommai said that the trailer of Gandha Gudi looks promising and will take us all to another world.
