Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann will hold the first meeting on Saturday after taking oath of the new cabinet at Raj Bhavan.

After taking oath, the newly appointed minister will take charge in the Punjab Civil Secretariat. There are 18 berths in the cabinet including the Chief Minister.

Newly appointed Chief Minister of Punjab Bhagwant Mann will hold the first meeting of the new cabinet soon after taking oath at the Raj Bhavan on Saturday. Mann took oath on March 16 at a public open ceremony in Khatkar Kalan, the native village of freedom fighter Bhagat Singh.

Officials said the state’s cabinet expansion ceremony to induct the ministers will take place at 11 am in Chandigarh. Immediately after this, the first meeting of the cabinet will also be held at 12.30 pm.

After taking oath, the newly appointed minister will take charge in the Punjab Civil Secretariat. There are 18 berths in the cabinet including that of the Chief Minister.

Kunwar Vijay Pratap Singh, Jeevanjot Kaur and Dr Charanjit Singh, who were elected MLAs for the first time, besides Harpal Singh Cheema, Aman Arora, Kultar Sandhwan, Sarvjit Kaur Manuke, Gurmeet Singh Meet Hair, Baljinder Kaur, were all MLAs in the previous assembly. Running around for the post of minister.

The Aam Aadmi Party made a huge difference by defeating the Congress. It entered the house with 92 assembly seats out of a total of 117.
