Can’t stop for Allu Arjun’s Pushpa: Uday! Actors Allu and Rashmika Mandanna starrer has been rocking the box office since its release. The film has performed well in the domestic market as well as at the international box office. The film was released in cinemas across the world on December 17 in all languages. After a strong response in the first week, the film is dominating the box office in its second week as well. According to Box Office India, “Pushpa (Hindi) took a good jump on Sunday despite Saturday being a national holiday as it collected around 4.25 crore nett. The film showed decent growth on single screen on Sunday. This means that The film did a decent run. 10 Crore net plus weekend and last weekend’s drop is less than 15%.”

“Pushpa has now taken her Mumbai circuit to around 15 crore nett and CP Brar is exceptional with around 4.75 crore nett. After ten days the total for the film is 38 crores nett approx and the film will reach 50 crores nett. Plus Total and may also end up with a net worth of 600 crores or close to it. The collections of Pushpa (Hindi) so far are as follows,” the report said.

The film deals with the smuggling of red sandalwood in the Seshachalam forests of Chittoor region of Andhra Pradesh. Although it attracted some controversies with ‘Van Sein’ and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s item song ‘Oo Antava’, the film is still keeping pace. For those unaware, netizens have slammed ‘O Antava’ and demanded a ban on the song for its controversial lyrics and visuals. That being said, the song portrays men as lust which has made it difficult.

Buoyed by the success of ‘Pushpa’, the team is celebrating as they travel to meet fans from different cities in India. Helmed by Sukumar, Devi Sri Prasad has composed the music for ‘Pushpa: The Rise’. Rashmika Mandanna plays the female lead, while Ajoy Ghosh, Sunil Verma, Anasuya Bharadwaj appear in pivotal roles. Malayalam star Fahadh Faasil appears as one of the villains in the film.
