The city traffic police on Friday distributed QR code-based display cards to city-run autorickshaws to enhance the safety of both passengers and drivers.
Commissioner of Police Chandragupta started distribution of display cards to be purchased by autorickshaw owners or drivers before May 31 and its display is mandatory from June 1, 2022. Autorickshaws running without cards will be prosecuted, according to officials.
