The Queen leads the lighting of the Principal Beacon at Windsor Castle. The lighting of the Commonwealth Globe of Nations is part of a special double ceremony with Her Majesty’s grandson the Duke of Cambridge representing the monarch at Buckingham Palace, some 20 miles away.
