India captain Rohit Sharma opened the batting for the team in the third and final T20I against West Indies in the form of young batsmen Ruturaj Gaikwad and Ishan Kishan. While Ruturaj failed to impress after being dismissed for 4, Ishan Kishan, who failed to go into the first and second T20Is, played some fine shots for 34 off 31 balls. Despite agreeing that he played well under pressure, former India batsman Aakash Chopra said that Ishaan’s strike-rate will be “questioned” time and again.

“Ishan Kishan was under pressure again. He batted well but the strike rate is still questionable. He will be questioned again and again because of the left-right combination and destructive and explosive batting, but he is the one to do it. is not capable of that work,” Chopra said on his YouTube channel,

India beat West Indies by 17 runs in the third T20I to win the series 3-0.

Suryakumar Yadav’s innings of 65 runs in 31 balls had laid the foundation for the big score, after which the Indian bowlers rose to the occasion.

India posted 93 for four at a time, with Suryakumar and Venkatesh Iyer (35 off 19) adding 91 runs for the fifth wicket, taking India to a total of 184 for five.

In reply, West Indies were bowled out for 167 for nine despite Nicholas Pooran’s 61-run knock.
