A day after the killing of a Kashmiri Pandit Rahul Bhat by terrorists in Kashmir’s Budgam district, a candlelight protest was held in Srinagar on May 13. Locals took to the streets and raised slogans against the administration, demanding protection and justice against the targeted killing of a community. “Candlelight protest was held this evening over the murder of Rahul Bhat. The administration will resolve all the matters related to the service within a week. Permanent accommodation of 1500/5000 (people) has been completed, the rest will be done before winter,” said PK Pol, divisional commissioner, Kashmir.
