Rahul Gandhi attacks PM Modi on fuel price issue: ‘It’s tremendous’

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Thursday criticized Prime Minister Modi’s ‘swipe’ across states for not cutting petrol, diesel taxes.

His comment came a day later Modi Several opposition-ruled states flagged off higher fuel prices and urged them to reduce VAT in “national interest” to benefit the common man.

Gandhi alleged that even when the Center has taken 68 per cent of all fuel taxes, the Prime Minister is escaping his responsibility by blaming the states for high fuel prices.

“High Fuel Prices – Blame States”

Coal Shortage – Fault State

Oxygen Deficiency – Defect State

68% of all fuel taxes are collected by the Centre. Still, the PM shirks responsibility.

Modi’s federalism is not an ally. This is coercion,” tweeted Rahul Gandhi.
