Rahul pays tribute to Damodaram Sanjeevaiah

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday visited the memorial of late United Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Damodaram Sanjivaiah and paid tributes to him on his 50th death anniversary.

He was accompanied by TPCC chief A. Revanth Reddy, CLP leader Bhatti Vikramarka and senior leaders V. Hanumantha Rao, Komatireddy Venkata Reddy, Madhu Yaski Goud, A. Sampath Kumar, Damodar Rajnarasimha and APCC chief Shailjanath were also present. He sat at the memorial for some time and later paid floral tributes.

Before the conclusion of his two-day tour, Mr. Gandhi along with Mr. Revanth Reddy, Youth Congress President Shiv Sena Reddy and youth leader Anil Kumar Yadav made a surprise visit to the Telangana Martyrs Memorial.

Mr Revanth Reddy explained to them that the construction was going on slow pace and was facing financial crunch due to the ‘liberal attitude’ of the government. He said that due to the pressure of the Congress party, the construction work has accelerated.
