And just when you think you’ve seen everything the country has to offer, be prepared for something grand. Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav showcased the beauty of India. He shared a set of four pictures of snow-capped mountains as can be seen from the train approaching them. Vaishnav gave Twitter users a hint about the place, calling it “heaven on earth”. Social media users went berserk with the beautiful pictures. Everyone was able to guess that the place Ashwini Vaishnava was talking about was the glorious mountain of Kashmir. “Heaven on Earth” was a thoughtful gift. A Twitter user wrote, “This is the new India. Salute to Railways. Things are definitely getting better.”
Another user quotes the famous Persian couplet by Amir Khusro which was used to describe Kashmir. He wrote, “Agar Firdaus Baar Roo-e Zameen Ast, Hameen Ast-o Hamin Ast-o Hamin Ast. (If there is a paradise on earth, it is here, it is here, it is here.)
Meanwhile, users were divided over the answer given at the Union Territory’s railway station. There were two answers that often came up. One user wrote, “This is the Qazigund railway station in Jammu and Kashmir.” For some others it was Banihal station on the Banihal-Baramulla line.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav had earlier also shared pictures of Srinagar railway station. The breathtaking beauty of the place was enhanced by the snowfall and captured completely. With the place having a thick layer of snow, Srinagar Railway Station seems to be the ideal place from where you would want to start your journey. He also shared lines from the popular Persian couplet in his tweet.

However, these were not the only pictures from Kashmir that captured the beauty of winter here. Several social media users had shared their clicks. Not only the Banihal railway track, but also the frozen Dallake and Jhelum banks.
