Railways to run 205 special trains for Rath Yatra Bhubaneswar News – Times of India

BHUBANESWAR: Indian Railways on Monday announced the details of special trains to be run between June 29 and July 11. Chariot Festival Festivals in Puri. For the convenience and convenience of the devotees, 205 special trains will be run from Puri to Puri during this festival.
A statement issued by the East Coast Railway (ECoR) said, “Since the Rath Yatra was conducted without pilgrims due to the COVID-19 protocol for the last two years, the Railways expects a large number of pilgrims to visit Puri this year. will gather.”
Shalimar-Puri-Shalimar Rath Yatra Special Express (02837/002838) will depart Puri at 12.45 hrs on 29th June and arrive Puri at 10.30 hrs on the same day. Another Shalimar-Puri-Shalimar Rath Yatra Special Express (02827/002828) will leave Shalimar at 9.40 pm on 29th June and will reach Puri at 7 am the next day.
On June 30, other Rath Yatra specials will be run on Visakhapatnam-Puri, Junagadh Road-Puri, Gunupur-Puri, Jagdalpur-Puri and Sambalpur-Puri routes. Bhubaneshwar-Puri Rath Yatra Special will be run from July 1 to July 11. For Bhubaneshwar and Khurda people who want to visit Puri during this Rath Yatra.
Apart from this 10 pairs of trains (20 trips) will run from different parts of the state towards Puri and vice versa. Special trains on Gundicha Yatra (on July 1) will run from Paradip, Cuttack, Mahipur (Nayagarh), Berhampur, Bhadrak, Khurda Road and Keonjhar Road towards Puri.
Similarly seven pairs of special trains will run on Sandhya Darshan (on 8th July) to Puri and vice versa.
On Bahuda Yatra (on 9th July) 10 pairs of special trains will run from Paradip, Mahipur, Cuttack, Berhampur, Bhadrak, Khurda Road, Keonjhargarh to Puri and vice versa. Similarly, on the day of Sunbesh (on 10th July), 11 pairs of special trains will be run from these stations to Puri.
Junagadh Road-Puri-Junagarh Road Special, Gunupur-Puri-Gunupur Special, Sambalpur-Puri-Sambalpur Special, Visakhapatnam-Puri-Visakhapatnam Special will leave Puri on 10th July and will reach their destination as per schedule.
A day after Sunbesha (on July 11), seven special trains will leave from Puri for Gunupur, Rayagada, Bhadrak, Sambalpur, Visakhapatnam, Kendujhargarh and Mahipur and one special train will run from Keonjhargarh to Puri.
Three pairs of trains will run between Khurda Road and Puri from July 2 to July 7. During this (July 2, 7 July) two pairs of trains will be run on Mahipur-Puri route. “In addition to these, additional special trains are being planned to run in view of the demands of the passengers/devotees,” the ECoR said.
