Rain in Delhi, maximum temperature five degrees below normal

The national capital Delhi on Sunday turned colder due to light rain and recorded a maximum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius, five notches below the average for this season. The India Meteorological Department gave this information.

Meanwhile, the capital’s minimum temperature was recorded at 6.4 degrees Celsius, three degrees below normal. The meteorological department has said the relative humidity in the capital has been between 77 per cent and 95 per cent. Delhi recorded 3.3 mm of rain till 5.30 pm.

Weathermen have forecast a generally cloudy sky and lightening, accompanied by rain and thundershowers on Monday morning. The minimum and maximum temperatures are likely to be around 10 and 20 degrees Celsius, he said.

The minimum temperature and maximum temperature of the capital were recorded on Saturday: 6.1 degree Celsius and 23.8 degree Celsius. Meanwhile, Delhi’s air quality index was recorded at 357 at 9 pm.
