Surat: Rain started in the city and parts of Surat district from Friday night and continued throughout the day on Saturday. This led to waterlogging in some parts of the city for two hours on Saturday.
Due to rain in the catchment area of Ukai reservoir, the water inflow into the dam was recorded at 66,050 cusecs while 52,414 cusecs of water was being released from the dam. The water level in Ukai Dam was 345.12 ft, while the maximum water level was 345 ft. was
The water level at the Wear-cum-Causeway in the city was 7.35 meters and out of this, 77,255 cusecs of water was being released.
