Rain will continue in Gujarat, heavy rain likely in Ahmedabad Ahmedabad News – Times of India

AHMEDABAD: The state administration and citizens have breathed a sigh of relief with heavy rains lashing the entire Gujarat. While the state added 7% of its seasonal rainfall in the last four days, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) forecast mentioned the possibility of good rains for the next four days across the state.
On Thursday, Ahmedabad recorded an average rainfall of 2 mm, with some parts of the western city receiving slightly more rain. The sky remained cloudy and it rained lightly during the afternoon and night. The IMD has mentioned the possibility of heavy rains in some parts of Ahmedabad district on Friday and Saturday. Till 10 pm, 159 out of 251 taluks in Gujarat recorded at least 1 mm of rain.
Talod of Sabarkantha recorded 92 mm of rain, Meghraj of Aravalli 88 mm, Dehgam in Gandhinagar 78 mm, Unjha 63 mm. Mehsana, and 62 mm at Sidhpur in Patan. Eighteen districts recorded 30 mm or more of rainfall.
