Jaipur: Four people including three children died in a small house fire with several people chemical drum Jamwaramgarh near Jaipur engulfed in flames on Sunday morning.
According to Deputy SP (Jamvaramgarh), Shiv Kumar BhardwajThe victims were identified as Ramesh (25), Garima (3), Ankush (5) and Divya (2).
He said three others were being treated at the hospital for burn injuries. Local police said that the victims are members of the same family.
According to Bhardwaj, a small house was used to pack turpentine oil in small packets.
Jaipur District Collector Rajan Vishal said that the focus of the administration is on the care of the injured at present.
Mahendra Pal Meena, a local resident and leader of Jamwaramgarh, said that the incident happened in the morning when children were present inside the building. “We are hopeful that some compensation will be given to the victims,” he said.
Fire brigade and civil defense staff said the fire was brought under control and those injured with burns were taken to hospital.
Meanwhile, Jaipur (Rural) police said that it is trying to find out who ran the chemical unit and had the necessary permissions.
