Rajasthan: Fire breaks out in Alwar’s Sariska Tiger Reserve

A huge fire broke out in the forest area of Sariska Tiger Reserve In Rajasthan’s Alwar district, reported the news agency ANIQuoting a forest official on Tuesday.

“We were informed about the fire two days back. We took the help of local people to douse the fire. Till now a total of nine square km area is in flames. We are trying to contain the fire so that To make it possible, Alwar DFO Sudarshan Sharma said, “Don’t surround the valley. The damage will be ascertained after the fire is brought under control.”

Helicopters of the Indian Air Force have been deployed to douse the fire.

Sunita Pankaj said, “Since the fire was fierce, the efforts of the local people were not enough. So we informed the fire department in Jaipur. They deployed two helicopters from Delhi to douse the fire. Areas with high tiger and rural population are ours. priority.” Alwar ADM.

The reasons for the incident are yet to be ascertained.

A forest official said the movement of tigers in the area has been affected by the fire.

“The villagers living in the periphery of the fire-hit area have been asked to move to a safer place,” the official said.
