Sharjah: James Neesham And Nathan Coulter-Neil Exceptionally good bowling to keep Mumbai Indians alive and kicking as they overtake Rajasthan Royals by eight wickets in a low-scoring match of the Indian Premier League on Tuesday.

The five-time champion then took the runs to 12 points in 8.2 overs and, more importantly, improved his net run-rate to -0.048. This was also MI’s biggest win in terms of balls (70).
Ishan Kishan (50 not out) got some much-needed confidence during the short chase as they rejoiced for cheating after MI kicked Royals out of the IPL from the league stage itself.
The Royals did not have many quality Indian players except Yashasvi Jaiswal.

Kishan, who had been in poor form during the better part of the UAE leg, hit five fours and three sixes. OK, he ended it with max.
MI will now take on Sunrisers Hyderabad on Friday in what is another winning game but they will also like Kolkata Knight Riders (12 points, NRR +0.294) to lose their last match against Royals on Thursday.
If KKR win and go up to 14 points, on the final day MI will know how much they need to surpass the net run-rate of the Shah Rukh Khan-owned side.

That day, Neesham and Coulter-Nile, batting first in Sharjah, hit the ideal length on a hard strip, making the Royals the fewest T20Is overall by any team.
Rohit Sharma was there to decide to bowl first and Neesham (3/12), playing his first game of the UAE leg, paced his delivery on a Sharjah pitch where the ball was not hitting the bat.
Coulter-Nile (4-0-14-4) was equally effective with his change-up and hitting hard-lengths more often than rooting one of his best IPL spells.

Neesham and Coulter-Nile put together only 26 runs between them in eight overs and also took seven wickets, which knocked the Royals out of the competition.
Jasprit Bumrah (2/14) Was as dangerous as ever with important wickets as it was one of MI’s closest bowling performances.
The Royals were blown away in the span of four overs as they were 51 for 5 in the last over of the Powerplay at 50 for 1 by the time the first 10 were about to finish. MI never looked back from that situation.
In-form Sanju Samson (3) tries hard without the ball reaching the pitch as Jayant Yadav takes a diving catch.
CSK heroes pulled back Shivam Dubey after trying to reach a fuller delivery at the ‘fifth stump’, while Rahul Tewatia (12 off 20 balls) tried to pull off a short delivery, in the middle of a horrific season Who came late and took the edge in the hand of the keeper.
The inclusion of Neesham in place of Kunal Pandya, who has been a regular feature for a good five years now, proved to be a master-stroke as he did not provide enough pace to maneuver and bowl wicket-to-wicket too , didn’t use much.
Evin Lewis (24 off 19 balls) once again got off to a great start, but the Royals’ innings changed course when the talented Yashasvi Jaiswal (12) failed to reverse the bounce off a Coulter-Nile delivery.
Once Bumrah got rid of Lewis with an angular delivery, the rest of the Royals’ batsmen fell like a deck of cards.
