Meanwhile, CM Gehlot on Tuesday said that a cabinet reshuffle in the state will happen soon, to accommodate the supporters of his former deputy Sachin Pilot, who had revolted against the CM last year.

Gehlot met Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Thursday last week to discuss the long-pending demand.

After the meeting, he had said that the top leadership of the party would take a decision on this.

Addressing the oath ceremony of the Secretariat Employees Union, Gehlot said, “Cabinet reshuffle will happen soon.”

For the past several months, there has been an uproar over the cabinet reshuffle demanding to accommodate Pilot’s supporters.

Apart from the Congress MLAs, the independents supporting the government and those joining the Congress from the BSP also have high hopes from this exercise.

At present, there are 21 members in the Council of Ministers including the Chief Minister. The council of ministers in the state can have a maximum of 30 members, where the number of MLAs is 200.
