AAP’s Rajinder Nagar bypoll candidate Durgesh Pathak filed the first and second sets of his nomination papers on Friday and said he would file the final set after holding a roadshow in the constituency on June 6, an official statement said. Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Raghav Chadha had to hold a by-poll in Rajinder Nagar after he was nominated to the Rajya Sabha from Punjab in March this year.
AAP candidate Pathak said he hoped that the residents of Rajinder Nagar would come to the roadshow and give his blessings. “The people of Rajinder Nagar have made up their mind to vote for the candidate of the party in power. I am thrilled to file my nomination for the Rajinder Nagar bypoll. On Monday, I will host a road show and file my nomination. Official and final set,” the statement quoted Pathak as saying.
AAP candidate Pathak is doing padyatra in different areas of Rajinder Nagar and is appealing to the people to vote for AAP in the by-election. It has been said in the statement that all the workers of the party are fully prepared for the by-election.
Pathak and other AAP leaders and workers will hold a public discussion and address the concerns of the public. Senior AAP leader Gopal Rai called a review meeting of party workers on Friday and directed them to strengthen preparations for the Rajinder Nagar bypoll.
AAP’s Delhi convener Rai said that all the party workers will have to make elaborate preparations at the ward and booth level. He asked AAP workers to meet maximum people in the constituency and inform them about the development works of the Delhi government.
