This scheme is for orphan children below 21 years of age in case of sons or unmarried daughters

Defense Minister Rajnath Singh on Friday approved increasing the monthly financial assistance to orphans of ex-servicemen from Rs 1,000 to Rs 3,000. This financial assistance scheme is run by Kendriya Sainik Board (KSB) and funded by Defense Minister Ex-Servicemen Welfare Fund.

“Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has approved the enhancement of financial assistance to the orphan children of ex-servicemen from Rs 1,000 per month to Rs 3,000 per month,” the Defense Ministry said in a statement. “This will enable orphans to lead a better life with dignity and respect,” it said.

This scheme is for orphan children below 21 years of age in case of sons or unmarried daughters. The application is recommended by the concerned Zila Sainik Board to get benefits under this scheme.
