Akasa Air Latest News: Investor Rakesh Jhunjhunwala-backed yet-to-be-launched airline Akasa Air has placed an order for 72 ‘737 MAX’ aircraft from US-based aerospace company Boeing.

“Akasa Air’s order includes two variants of the 737 MAX family, the 737-8 and the higher-capacity 737-8-200,” a joint statement from Akasa Air and Boeing said.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation last month gave a no-objection certificate (NOC) for Akasa Air’s operations in India.
