Rakesh Kumar Death: Mr. Natwarlal director who gave many hits of Amitabh Bachchan, passes away; prayer meeting today

Rakesh Kumar passed away Veteran actor and filmmaker Rakesh Kumar breathed his last on November 10 in Mumbai after a long battle with cancer. He is known for giving many hit films with Bollywood megastars Amitabh Bachchan And he is credited for films like Mr. Natwarlal, Khoon Pasina, Do Aur Do Paanch and Yaarana among many others. There will be a prayer meeting for him in Andheri on 13th November.

A prayer meeting will be organized in the memory of Rakesh Kumar in Mumbai on November 13. A note shared with the media by the filmmaker’s family read, “In Loving Memory of Rakesh Kumar, October 18, 1941 – November 10, 2022 Kindly join us on Sunday, November 13 for the Banquet, The Celebration Sports Club , A prayer meeting at Garden No. 5, Lokhandwala, Andheri (West). Timings: 4 PM – 5 PM With Gratitude, Usha Sharma & Lakshya Kumar, Neha & Karan Sharma (sic).

Amitabh Bachchan pays tribute to Rakesh Kumar

Amitabh Bachchan was among many others who paid tribute to the ace filmmaker. Big B wrote while sharing an emotional post for him on his blog. “But sad day…has left us and me especially for another colleague…Rakesh Sharma, first AD of Prakash Mehra on Zanjeer.. then independent director for other PM (Prakash Mehra, as We often joked with him, as PM of the country) films… and singularly – Hera Pheri, Khoon Sweat, Mr Natwarlal, Yaarana, et al… and on the sets and elsewhere, socially Such great camaraderie during events and Holi…”

He further added, “One by one they all go away… But some like Rakesh leave a mark that is difficult to remove or forget… His scripting and directing spirit, writing and execution on the spur of the moment And the fun time on location during nattu.. and yaarana.. his utter belief in his worth… and the ease with which he would grant us the freedom to leave the shoot on the odd day, just to be and relax in the company of uncontrollable laughter and glee To be able to spend time with….”

The actor said it would be difficult for him to attend the last rites of his frequent colleague. “Most friendly and kind person, ready to face any inconvenience to the actors working with him! No, I will hesitate to attend his funeral… Idle Rakesh! You have given your innovative approach to the story and the film. With the ideas that made many of us prominent, Rakesh, and you will always be remembered… (with folded hands emoji).
