Ramadan 2022: Dos and don’ts for the holy month of Ramzan

Ramadan 2022: Ramadan is the ninth month in the Islamic lunar calendar, when Muslims observe a 29-30-day fast, ending the festivities with the grand feast of Eid-ul-Fitr.

The month of April holds an important place in the hearts of the people of the Islamic community. This is because Ramadan, the holiest celebration for Muslims around the world, begins from April 2 to May 1. There are some things you should keep in mind during the holy month of Ramadan.

Dos for Ramadan:

  1. It is said that it is necessary for Muslims to offer Namaz at least five times a day.
  2. Muslims should be kind to the needs of the poor and downtrodden in the holy month of Ramadan and throughout the year.
  3. Muslims should try to memorize the holy book of Quran and evaluate the verses read by them.
  4. Muslims are expected to practice dhikr which means to pray to and praise Allah.
  5. Muslims should look for the well being of their family while offering prayers.

What not to do for Ramadan:

  1. Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan can neither eat nor drink water after sunset before Maghrib Azan.
  2. Muslims are not allowed to smoke or forcibly vomit if they are fasting. This may break his fast.
  3. Listening to music in Ramadan is not acceptable, especially if you are fasting.
  4. Any feeling of hatred or bitterness can nullify their fast. People should focus on the good things.
  5. It is believed that the people observing the fast should not think about or practice illegal activities.
  6. In the month of Ramadan, debate or fight-fights should be opposed. It is said that this can affect the rewards given by Allah.
