Queen is a web series based on the novel of the same name, written by Anita Sivakumaran. The series, consisting of 11 episodes, was directed by Getham Menon and Prasad Murugesan. Several reports suggest that Queen is based on the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. However, in an interview with IndiaToday.in, Gautham Menon says the series is not based on his life, Back in 2019, when the series released, the Queen team was facing legal issues.
Gautham Menon said, “We have taken some inspiration from the book, and have come up with the story. If you find the similarities, it’s not my fault, I guess.”
