Almost three years later, the actress resumed shooting for the second season of the show. She took to Instagram to share a series of pictures from the shooting site. On May 30, Ramya Krishnan took to Instagram to drop a series of pictures from the sets of her upcoming series, Queen. She has resumed shooting for Queen Season 2. “Yeah yeah yeah… (sic),” he captioned the post with folded hands and a heart emoji.

Queen is a web series based on the novel of the same name, written by Anita Sivakumaran. The series, consisting of 11 episodes, was directed by Getham Menon and Prasad Murugesan. Ramya Krishnan plays the role of Shakti Seshadri, a school topper who becomes a sought-after heroine. He is pushed into politics later in his life.

Several reports suggest that Queen is based on the late Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa. However, in an interview with IndiaToday.in, Gautham Menon says the series is not based on his life, Back in 2019, when the series released, the Queen team was facing legal issues.

Gautham Menon said, “We have taken some inspiration from the book, and have come up with the story. If you find the similarities, it’s not my fault, I guess.”
