The period drama is set against the backdrop of Naxalism in the 1990s, with Rana essaying a character named Comrade Ravana, better known by his pen name Aranya. The film tells the love story between Ravana and Venela, a character portrayed by Sai Pallavi.
Said to be inspired by true events, the film is presented by D Suresh Babu and produced by Sudhakar Cherukuri of Sri Lakshmi Venkateswara Cinemas. Dani Sanchez Lopez (of.) greatness fame) and Diwakar Mani share the credit for cinematography, while Suresh Bobbili is the composer.
