New Delhi [India]Feb 27 (ANI): Actor Ranbir Kapoor has rubbished rumors of him headlining the biopic of former cricketer Sourav Ganguly.
At a promotional event for his upcoming rom-com ‘Tu Jhootha Main Makkar’, Ranbir was asked by the media if he was doing a biopic on Sourav Ganguly.
Answering this question, Ranbir said, ‘I think Dada (Sourav Ganguly) is a living legend not only in India but all over the world. The biopic on him will be very special. Unfortunately, I have not been offered this film. I think the makers of Luv Films are still writing the script.”
However, he confirmed that he is working on the biopic of late singer-actor Kishore Kumar.
“I am working on Kishore Kumar biopic since 11 years (I am working on Kishore Kumar biopic since 11 years). We are writing it with Anurag Basu and I hope it will be my next biopic. But I haven’t heard anything about the biopic being made on Dada yet. So, I don’t know,” said Ranbir.
Earlier on Sunday, Ranbir was seen playing cricket with Sourav Ganguly at the Eden Gardens in Kolkata.
Several pictures of the two on the field surfaced online.
Ranbir wore a black T-shirt and pants while Sourav wore a white T-shirt and trousers. The actor’s T-shirt had ‘Ranbir ki Makkar XI’ written on it while Sourav’s T-shirt had ‘Dada ki Jhooti XI’ written on it.
Ranbir’s ‘Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar’ is scheduled to hit the theaters on March 8.
