Ranchi Bravehearts set up a new shelter home for the Indies. Ranchi News – Times of India

Ranchi: After the monsoons turned cloudy in Ranchi, a group of men are busy building new shelter homes for indie dogs to escape the rain.
A record number of animal activists in Ranchi have come forward to help stray people find shelter as the lack of animal shelters poses a challenge to safety and hygiene for stray animals.
“Most of the shelter homes are demolished by the local people or demolished by the Ranchi Municipal Corporation. I am working on setting up six-seven new shelter homes for stray dogs in Dhurwa, MorabadiIn Kanke, Ashok Nagar and other areas,” said animal rescuer and activist Abhijit Bhowmik, “none of the shelters built earlier are now habitable.”
While landlords and local residents are unwilling to provide shelter to the rescued strays, the city’s traffic police have also stepped in as good people to help animal activists set up shelter homes.
Traffic constable at Hot Lips Chowk, Shine Prakash Singh helping a father-daughter animal activist duo, Sanjit Seno and Archie Sen with a dog shelter at Audrey House in Ranchi.
“It is a good work and everyone should really contribute towards the welfare of stray dogs and other animals,” Singh smiled while pointing to the shelter.
The censor has set up five shelter homes for stray dogs so far this year ahead of the monsoon.
assistant municipal commissioner Kunwar Singh Pahan admitted that there is no such shelter home in Ranchi to help the strays during the monsoon.
When asked whether the municipal authority has plans to set up any shelter homes, Pahan said, “No such plans or discussions have taken place in this regard.”
At present, the RMC is only looking after the vaccination of stray animals, for which a shelter home has been set up at Namkum, he said.
