Rashmika Mandanna talks about her experience working with Ranbir Kapoor and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga in their upcoming film Animal.
Rashmika Mandanna is looking invincible at the moment. After making a mark in South Indian language cinema, she is all set to step into Bollywood. Actresses, who were recently seen with Amitabh Bachchan The starrer Alvida will return to the big screen with Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s Animal. Her opposite in the film is Ranbir Kapoor. Talking about her experience working on the project, Rashmika said that the film influenced her as an actor.
“For me, I think what has happened after shooting Animal is that it has made me realize a few things as an actor. I think my choice of films would be different. I think the way I am going to perform will be different. Because all this is the effect of my working together with Sandeep sir, RK and Anil (Kapoor) sir,” the actress told Bollywood bubble.
“I tell you I’m so excited about Animal and How. Like, I’m having fun,” she added.
Rashika said that she learned that there can be different ways of showing a particular emotion on screen. There are ‘four, five, six and seven ways’ of showing emotion. So, one should try them all and decide which is “best in your bucket,” she said.
The project is being directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who made his debut in 2017 with the Telugu language hit Arjun Reddy. Vanga remade the film in Hindi as Kabir Singh starring Shahid Kapoor, which was a box-office success in 2019.
The makers of Animals released the first look of Ranbir Kapoor from the crime thriller. Production house T-Series shared a poster which features the Shamshera actor in a dashing look. Captioning the post, he wrote, “Brave and ready to take on 2023! It is the year of the animal”.
Produced by Bhushan Kumar and Krishan Kumar’s T-Series, Murad Khetani’s Cine1 Studios and Pranay Reddy Vanga’s Bhadrakali Pictures, Animal is a crime drama that promises to star Kapoor in a never-seen-before role. Apart from Ranbir, the crime thriller also stars some notable actors like Bobby Deol, Tripti Dimri and Anil Kapoor in pivotal roles. The film will also be released in South India Languages - Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Tamil with Hindi on August 11 this year.
