Aditya Roy Kapur’s action film ‘Rashtra Kavach Om’ and R Madhavan’s biographical film ‘Rocketry’ are clashing with two big films at the box office this weekend. While the trailer and songs of Aditya and Sanjana Sanghi starrer Rashtra Kavach Om impressed the audience, the film saw a sluggish start at the box office. The film opened with a low of around 5 per cent on the first day (Friday), which means the coming weekend could be tough. Interestingly, a section of people loved seeing Aditya’s raw and rugged avatar in high-octane action.

According to Box Office India, “Rashtra Kavach Om has a very slow opening of around 0-5%, which means there is an extremely tough road ahead. The film is an action but the protagonist does not have a following or face value hence the box office. The office is not always likely to respond. Either there has to be a fan base or the film has to have some brand value and sometimes even a newcomer is a better bet if he has the talent.”
“Looking at the trailer and look of the film, an attempt has been made to make Sunny Deol of the 90s. It would be great for the way the box office is shaping up today but it is not going to happen and no one with them. Chance is not the type of heroes with no mass appeal.
As the film is an action film, the opening day is a must and there should be some good numbers on board as the genre doesn’t stick around like other genres.
