Tokyo Olympics silver medalist Ravi Dahiya has started training again and is back on the wrestling mat. After the podium finish in Tokyo, the star wrestler engaged in several events after returning to India. “I am out of festival mode and I have started my practice long back and now all the focus is on upcoming events. Soon I will be back on the field properly as there are a lot of events coming up and I will participate in them,” Ravi Dahiya told ANI. Specially, Ravi did not participate in the World Wrestling Championship in Oslo, Norway.

“Yes, I missed that opportunity because you saw that it was very difficult to be involved in the preparation for the Olympics and I lived far away from my family. So, after coming back from the Olympics, I spent my time with family because it was important. There is also the World Wrestling Championship coming up every year and I will take part in it next year and win a medal.

When asked about participating in the Commonwealth Games next year, as Hockey India has said that men’s and women’s hockey teams will not take part, he said: “The decision will be taken by our federation, we will follow the instructions of our federation. Whatever they decide, we will abide by it.”
