Ravi Kumar resigns as chairman of Infosys

Based in New York, Mr. Kumar led multiple service lines and specialized digital sales across the consulting, technology, infrastructure, engineering and process verticals for the tech firm.

Based in New York, Mr. Kumar led multiple service lines and specialized digital sales across the consulting, technology, infrastructure, engineering and process verticals for the tech firm.

Infosys has announced the resignation of Chairman Ravi Kumar S, with effect from October 11, according to a regulatory filing made by the company on Tuesday.

“The Board of Directors conveys its deep appreciation for the services rendered by Ravi Kumar for his contribution to the Company,” the company said in the filing.

Based in New York, Mr. Kumar led multiple service lines and specialized digital sales across the consulting, technology, infrastructure, engineering and process verticals for the tech firm. He was in charge of the insurance and payments businesses before becoming president in 2016. He was also leading the Metaverse initiative of Infosys. He worked with Infosys for almost 20 years. According to Infosys’ FY22 annual report, Mr. Kumar was the third highest-paid employee of the company after Salil Parekh and Praveen Rao.
