Ravindra Jadeja became the second fastest player to take 250 wickets, scored 2500 Test runs

India’s power-packed all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has become the second fastest player and the fastest Indian to reach 2500 Test wickets at the same time as he reached the 2500 Test run milestone.

The Indian cricketer reached the milestone in his 62nd Test match when KL Rahul took a one-handed stunner to remove batsman Usman Khawaja to claim his 250th Test wicket in his 46th over of Australia’s innings during the second Test. .

Jadeja is now three matches ahead of India legend Kapil Dev who has achieved the feat in 65 matches. He is only behind legendary England all-rounder Ian Botham, who achieved the feat in just 55 matches.

Jadeja is the fourth Indian cricketer to reach double figures in the list, joining Ravichandran Ashwin, Anil Kumble and Kapil Dev. He is currently the 14th player overall with 250 Test wickets and over 2500 Test runs.

In the second Test against Australia, India hold a commanding position as Australia’s score read 199/6 with Peter Handscomb (36*) and Pat Cummins (23*) holding the fort till tea.
