Gupta, who lodged a complaint with the police in this regard, also alleged that Jamshedpur East MLA Saryu Rai was behind the incident.
“I am ready for any enquiry. I have asked the police to collect my mobile phone and that of the woman for any verification.”
Godda’s BJP MP Nishikant Dubey shared a video clip on social media on April 23 purportedly showing Gupta having an “obscene” phone conversation with a woman.
In a series of tweets, Roy sought action against the minister and asked the police to seize his mobile phone.
However, PTI could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
During the press conference, Gupta showed Roy’s tweets and alleged that he was behind the entire fiasco.
“They have a problem with all my development projects for the state, whether it is cleaning of Subarnarekha river, construction of Jamshedpur bus stand or flyover. After failing to stop me, they resorted to unethical means to tarnish my image. But, I am not scared,” Gupta said.
Reacting to the allegations, Roy insisted that the allegations should be given in writing.
“Whatever allegations he (Gupta) is making, he should give them in writing. I’ll answer them all. Checking the video is going on, let it be completed.
