In a recent study, one of India’s most trusted and oldest matrimony platform has revealed interesting facts about the most sought after professions for marriage in its latest findings. According to these data, software professionals in 2022 received 5.97 times more interest than teachers. It was followed by Banking, HR, Administration, Doctor, Finance, Analyst, Consultant, Accounts, Marketing, Professor and Entrepreneur.
The findings also highlighted that there is an increase in users in the age group of 30-33, which indicates that people are ready to get married even after crossing the “ideal age for marriage – 30 years”. In 2022, 39% of newly registered users on the platform will be 30+. It may even be the new normal in the coming years. It is also believed that people prefer financial stability rather than financial burden on their families before deciding to get married. Further, the share of Tier 2 and Tier 3 towns and cities also increased in 2022 – 41% users from Tier 3 and 28% from Tier 2.
