REET 2021: Personnel dismissed leaked question papers, says government

Over 16 lakh candidates are ready to appear for the Rajasthan Teacher Eligibility Test (REET) exam on Sunday. State government Warns its personnel against helping anyone cheat.

According to the new order, government employees leaking question papers will be dismissed from service. If employees of any private institution are found to be providing fraudulent facilities, their affiliation will be withdrawn.

Addressing a meeting to review the preparations for REET-2021, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot said that when incidents of copying come to the fore, the hard work of lakhs of students goes in vain.

Apart from this, he said that the state government is providing free travel facility to all the candidates appearing in the examination.

State Transport Minister Pratap Singh Khachariyawas said that all roadways buses are available for free travel of the candidates. Apart from this, public transport and other private buses are also being arranged.

In case of candidates coming for appearing in the examination, especially women, facing any problem, public representatives, social workers and voluntary organizations should come forward to help them.

The CM said that the district collectors should involve voluntary organizations in their respective districts so that the candidates can be helped.

The Rajasthan Police on Friday arrested four members of a gang for allegedly bidding for dummy candidates to write REET 2021.

According to the police, four people have been arrested 5.60 lakh cash in Dausa of the state.

Dausa SP Anil Kumar Beniwal said an audio recording related to the chat and the exam has been recovered, while his mobile phone is being checked. He said that during interrogation the accused disclosed crores of rupees taken from several candidates for various competitive examinations.

He said the role of some coaching institutes and libraries has come to the fore.

The arrested people have been identified as Sumer Meena (35), Dashrath Singh Meena (30), Ramesh Meena (25) and Karan Singh Meena (24).
