Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao asked Prime Minister Narendra Modi to support the medical students who returned from Ukraine.

KCR wrote a letter to the PM on Tuesday and reportedly said that 20,000 students from Ukraine have returned to India, almost all of them medical students.

Students are worried that their academic year will be ruined because of the Russo-Ukraine War.

“The future of Indian students, who have spent a lot of time and money pursuing medical education in Ukraine, has become questionable. His studies are now in danger of being left incomplete in the wake of the war crisis. KCR said.

He also said that in view of these extraordinary circumstances being faced by the students, KCR considered it a special case and asked to help them as a duty to complete their medical education.

“I report that the rules should be relaxed to allow them to take admission in the same semester in medical colleges across the country. Accordingly, I want to increase the seats in different semesters in medical colleges on ‘one-time’ basis and allot them to medical students,” the CM said.

KCR sympathetically appealed to the PM to consider his request and expedite it. I
