Religious leader descended from the stage after the controversial speech of the president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Hind

New Delhi [India]Feb 12 (ANI): At the 34th general session of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, several religious leaders walked out of the dais following a controversial speech by the organisation’s president Syed Arshad Madani.

The Jain Muni, Acharya Lokesh Muni, who was present on the dais, expressed displeasure at Madani’s remark and said, “We only agreed to live in harmony, but all the story about Om, Allah and Manu is all nonsense. He (Madani) Completely spoiled the atmosphere of the convention.

I can tell bigger stories than the stories he told. I will also request him (Madani) to come with me for discussion, or even I can come to meet him in Saharanpur.

He said, “It should be remembered that the first Jain Tirthankara was Rishabha, and his sons were Bharata and Bahubali, after whom this country was named ‘Bharat’. You cannot erase it. We do not agree with those statements.”

Earlier, Syed Arshad Madani, president of Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind, courted controversy by saying that he “asked the religious leaders that when there was no one, neither Shri Ram, nor Brahma, nor Shiva, then whom did Manu worship ?” ,

He said, “Some told me that they used to worship ‘Om’. I said that it is only ‘Om’, which we call Allah, the Persian-speakers ‘Khuda’ and the English-speakers ‘Bhagwan’.

“It means that there is only one Om or Allah, and both are one, and Manu used to worship only this one thing. There was no Shiva, there was no Brahma, but only one Om and Allah were worshipped. It was,” Madani said.

Addressing the session, Madani also said, “In this country Hindus and Muslims have been living like brothers for almost 1400 years and we have never forcibly converted anyone to Islam.”

“It is only under the BJP government that we have heard that 20 crore Muslims should be sent home. To send them home meant to make them Hindus. These people do not know anything about the history of India. (ANI)
